Funko has unveiled an unprecedented Marvel 85th Anniversary Pop! vinyl collection, featuring 20 new figures spanning the entire history of the Marvel Universe. The massive wave includes characters never before produced by Funko, along with special metallic and glow-in-the-dark variants that are already creating collector frenzy.

The Full Lineup

The anniversary wave is divided into four series of five figures each, releasing monthly starting in May:

Series 1 (May 2026):

  • Golden Age Captain America (metallic chase variant limited to 1,000 pieces)
  • 1940s Human Torch
  • Sub-Mariner (classic costume)
  • Original Vision (Aarkus)
  • Miss America (Madeline Joyce)

Series 2 (June 2026):

  • Silver Age Iron Man (Model 1 armor)
  • First Appearance Thor
  • 1960s Hulk (grey variant chase)
  • Original X-Men Cyclops
  • First Appearance Black Panther

Exclusives and Chases

The chase pieces are generating the most buzz. The Golden Age Captain America metallic variant is currently pre-selling on eBay for $200-$250, despite having a retail price of just $15. The grey Hulk chase from Series 2 is expected to command similar premiums.

Retailer exclusives include:

  • Target: 10-inch Galactus (limited to 5,000 pieces)
  • Walmart: Metallic Silver Surfer
  • GameStop: First Appearance Wolverine (unmasked variant)
  • Hot Topic: Glow-in-the-dark Ghost Rider
  • Amazon: Chrome Thanos (Infinity Gauntlet)

Collector Strategy

With 20 figures plus exclusives and chases, completing this set will be expensive. Serious collectors should prioritize the chase variants and retailer exclusives, as these typically appreciate fastest. The commons may see discounts after initial release, so patience could save money on the base figures.

Pre-orders open Friday at 10 AM PT on Funko's website and through major retailers.
